Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in conducting initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical function, mobility, and strength.
Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on patients' goals and needs.
Implement therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities as prescribed by the physical therapist to improve patients' functional outcomes.
Monitor patients' progress during treatment sessions and communicate observations to the supervising physical therapist.
Provide education and instruction to patients and their families on home exercise programs and proper techniques for performing activities of daily living.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist program.
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in MA.
Previous experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
